As part of the Career Guidance inauguration program, Career Planner Guide book will be launched and the First Copy of the book will be handed over to Thiru. Kumaravel Pandian IAS, Deputy Commissioner (Education), Greater Chennai Corporation. The book was published by India Literacy Project and it is a concise guide to various career options. The book is in Tamil for the benefit of students. The printing of the book is sponsored by Foundation for Vocational Training.

The career guidance session will be inaugurated at the AMMA Arangam auditorium by Rtn S Neelakantan, Director – Rotary Foundation (RCME) in the presence of Rtn. R.M. Narayanan, President Rotary Club of Madras East and Thiru.E.Govindasamy, Educational Officer Greater Chennai Corporation.

Other dignitaries include Rtn. K Ganesan, District Director – Vocational Service (Rotary District RI 3232), Rtn. Radhika Sathyanarayana (Secretary – RCME), Mr.Bharathidasan (Additional  Educational Officer, Greater Chennai Corporation)

The one-day programme will be conducted by a team from India Literacy Project headed by its Country Manager, Mr.A L Rangarajan. The programme aims at giving proper direction to the students of class 12 (both Science and Commerce streams) and to the teachers as well. More than 1200 students from Greater Chennai Corporation schools have registered for the programme where they will be engaged in an exercise of exploring and understanding emerging career avenues along with available choices of education in the future. The sessions will include a career option presentation by Freshworks and  Q & A sessions for the students.
