Give a man a fish and feed him for a day

Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime

This is the ethos with which RCMEs Build Our Youth project , the 13th Global Grant Project as Host club through the Rotary Foundation and our very First in the avenue of Vocational services was conceived.

This project here at Ramakrishna mission polytechnic college is well aligned to all our Goals and purposes.

Ramakrishna mission polytechnic college is a truly deserving beneficiary and this is not the first time we are associated with them. We have been donating various equipments to them over the last 2 years and we are extremely pleased to have identified this Automation Laboratory project with them.

The total cost of this project is Rs.37 Lakhs and with this, we have provided 2 Hydraulic and 3 Pneumatic Training kits along with 50 sets of Tables and chairs to the Automation Laboratory.

The objective of this project was to strengthen/modify the Automation Laboratory at the college. The need for this, driven by the Change in the curriculum Prescribed by directorate of Technical education, DOTE. These training kits will not only help train the Students as per the new curriculum but will also help them get better equipped and ready for Employment since it gives them better exposure and hands on training experience in the automation field.

This project will benefit the students of the college most of whom are under privileged.

We cannot thank enough, District Governor Rtn Natarajan Nagoji for his support to this project. Without his generous allocation from the District fund, this project would not have taken off. We would like to thank the District Rotary Foundation Chair Rtn. We cannot thank enough our donors Rajan and Ragini Family Foundation and Customer Analytics for opening their hearts and their wallet to this well-meaning cause.

The impact of Those words then – That is the exact feeling that  I and our whole Global Grant team who has worked for this project feel today as we inaugurate This Rotary Club Of Madras East Automation Laboratory.
